Marieke Schoonderbeek
Marieke Schoonderbeek is an artist, based in Amsterdam. She studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academy. Her graduation project ‘bergdorp berg huis huis dorp’ – which won the yearly academy price for visual arts, 2005- still is characteristic for the process in which she develops projects in various environments, scales and material. Works vary form being sculptures (exhibitions), objects, spaces, structures (architecture). Always working along the materials process and with a strong focus on the space it occupies, represents or will create.
